One Founder and Artisan

Csaba Kutrovics founded CUTTING EDGE TILE, INC. because of the demand for his services. He oversees, from start to completion, every aspect of each project, taking care to ensure that every detail is attended to with precision and artistry.

Kutrovics will explain how each of the materials will work in a particular situation, and how using the right materials and making the right choices brings beauty and assurance of a job well done in the final product of work performed. By considering all relevant factors of price and preference, each project is individually enhanced.

"The most important part of any project is thinking it through," Kutrovics says. In his jovial, confident tones typical of the artist on any given day, he continues about his work, in full accent of the mother-country: "My power is that I do what I say I am going to do."

Hearing him, you believe it. Looking at his work, you see how true it is.

Drawing From Experience

Past experience allows for the ability to foresee problems that could arise if someone fails to take care initially, during the base and pre-construction process of the different settings in a project’s milieu.

You profit by the experience that Kutrovics brings to each placement of materials, no matter how large or small the project you desire to have completed, because he applies those concerns that could arise to the planning of each endeavor, guarding the success of each new project. When it is finished, your expectations will be met or exceeded in the sweep of similar experiences that the clientele Kutrovics has previously served will attest to.

"…organization, supervision, management and communication are the skills Csaba Kutrovics possesses in a very professional manner as to gain the respect of his peers and home owners alike…”

As most for whom their work becomes their life, Kutrovics’ educational career included studying an area at university that was completely different than his life’s work would be. He says he never got into the hospitality business degree that he earned in Hungary, his homeland. Instead, he turned to the art and love of his uncle’s career. Kutrovics learned in the old world school, according to tradition and principles that meant you were known in the region as the best in tile and stone architecture—that is where Kutrovics was before coming to the United States to spend even more time as apprentice to the best contractors in one of the most affluent regions in which to live in the United States.

Doing mostly residential, among other significant commercial locations, Kutrovics worked in the Washington DC area, acquiring a first hand experience in the United States by not only working in his métier with the most respected craftsmen in the country, on the most prestigious properties in the country, but also being immersed in the American culture in an area where it has allowed him to bring professionalism and a “savoir faire” to the business in his adopted state of residence, Hawaii.

The unique cultural influences of these unique island states emphasizes his love for the country and in being able to apply his skill and talent to the lasting element of architecture in one’s home or commercial setting. His goals will be in harmony with yours, guided by his ability to lend a striking, compelling and powerful impact, whether subtle or bold, always brilliant in beauty and in practical considerations.

Covering All Necessary Bases of Concern in a Project

Practical considerations may include sound barrier base material to buffer the echo of tiles or stone materials, or many other items that enhance the longevity and durability of a material in a certain environment. Kutrovics does for you the necessary considerations of the use and expected wear of the setting being modified.

Celebrities in media, politics and sports, such as Doug Williams, whose fame brought the Washington Redskins to some top challenges in the 1980’s, and for whom Kutrovics provided the work of up to 3000 square feet of tile and marble work in his Virginia home, reflect the caliber of Kutrovics’ clientele. Private properties along the eastern seaboard sought the work that occupied Kutrovics first years in this country.

Now in Hawaii, Kutrovics is providing the much sought after craftsmanship in tile and stone that remains a part of the history of a building, a structure in time, whether it is your home, office, art gallery, public square, or commercial or government facility, he is called in for projects seeking to stand out for their significance, beauty and individuality.

For commercial clientele such as Bloomingdale’s of Tyson Corner, and residential clientele, using natural materials in the multitude of colors to choose from in marble, granite, limestone, and slate, Kutrovics applies the latest knowledge and materials to the age old principle of his craft to achieve the pinnacle of his milieu in each project he undertakes.
